Versa ZigBee Development Kit:
Versa ZigBee Development Kit allows you to quick construct flexible and reliable local wireless network for various applica-tions. Included in the kit are one Versa Coordinator, one Versa Router ( or one Versa End-device ), and a full set of 802.15.4/ZigBee stack. All the microcontrollers used in Versa ZigBee Development Kit are the JN51XX modules which produced by JENNIC. By using Versa ZigBee Development Kit, you can construct and configure an intelligent star or tree local wireless network without the need of knowing anything about wireless networks!
Versa Network Appliance Protocol
The Versa Network Appliance Protocol is a high-performance, low-power, small-memory-footprint protocol, which is the key differentiator of Versa Network system from other conventional networks. Working in conjunction with the ZigBee physical layer (802.15.4), the Versa Network Appliance Protocol allows novice user to create and configure an intelligent star or tree local wireless network in time fashion.
In addition to star and tree topologies, mesh is another frequently mentioned network topology. A mesh configuration contains a lot of redundancy and thereby is suitable to certain mission-critical tasks. However, it is "over-kill" for the vast majority of applications. In case, such kind of redundancy is must, you can duplicate Versa Router to achieve the same level of redundancy as a mesh topology.
Versa Coordinator, Router, and End-device
Standard Versa Coordinator, Router, and End-device have identical PCB, but they have different software implemented. You can request customized coordinator, router, and End-device. The Versa Coordinator connects to the VENAS ( network administration ) application running on a PC via a standard USB 2.0 connector. In turn, it communicates with Versa Router or Versa End-device on the network. The Versa Coordinator can handle more than 65,000 Versa End-device. Versa-based networks are self-forming; when you power-up a Versa-based device, it is automatically recognized by the Versa Coordinator and incorporated into the network without your having to raise a finger.
